About the SCD

la_page_4Towner County Soil Conservation District is here to promote soil and water conservation by offering financial, technical, informational, and educational assistance and opportunities to the people of the District.

It is managed by a 5 person board of locally elected and appointed supervisors.

Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 8:00 am.

  1. Soils- Characteristics and Quality
  2. Water- Quantity and Quality
  3. Education- Public Information and Awareness
  4. Sustainable Agriculture- Long term benefits
  5. Trees- Replacement/addition on ag lands, planting of all trees for resource conservation (including but not limited to: pollinators/pollination, energy-home heating/cooling, water quality, food-human/wildlife, environmental-air quality)
